Responding to the needs of the people of Darfur has become more important.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on Monday that “responding to the needs of the people of Darfur, western Sudan, has now become more important than ever.”
The OCHA office added, in a post on its account on the “X” platform, that “the Sudan Humanitarian Fund (SHF) supports local aid workers who overcome incredible challenges to help people affected by the conflict.”

Recently, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees said in a post on its account on the X platform that “10 million people were forced to flee due to the ongoing war in Sudan.”
The UNHCR added that “only peace can bring hope to Sudan, but it seems out of reach.”
She stressed that “the situation in Sudan is getting worse every day while international interest is waning.”
She pointed out that “10 million people were forced to flee due to the war in Sudan.”
