Assiran condemns Israel’s burning of the environment in the south: Supporting countries must compensate

Member of the Development and Liberation bloc, MP Ali Osseiran, called on the countries that provided and continue to provide Israel with weapons and support to destroy the environment in Lebanon to “compensate for the burning Lebanon,” considering that “this heinous act is a double crime by Israel, as it is not only against Lebanon, its sovereignty and the sovereignty of its lands, but also to destroy the environment.”

He added: “These major countries that support Israel have many contradictions. They call and call for preserving the environment that the major industrial countries have destroyed and ruined. And here, of course, is Israel playing this role by destroying Lebanon and its environment.”

He said: “Lebanon has the right to demand compensation for environmental crimes as well, but in return, the most important thing is for the Lebanese to agree on their national unity and understanding among themselves to save Lebanon from what it has reached.” (National News Agency)
