Haifa responds to critics of her attendance at the Cannes Film Festival

Some criticized the presence of the star Haifa Wehbe at the Cannes Film Festival, and Haifa, in turn, responded to the criticism directed at her, and commented on her attendance at the festival in a message via the “Stories” feature attached to her personal account on Instagram.

Wehbe wrote: “Its name is the Cannes Film Festival, which means films, not just a red carpet.”

Haifa continued: “It is not true when they said that I filmed Red Carpet and then walked away. I was invited by an official invitation to attend the special screening of the French film Le Compte de monte_cristo. If I had not had a filming commitment in Lebanon, I would have stayed in Cannes and would have been home more than one invitation.”

She added: “In any case, it is not new to our Arab world, how they like to brag about each other, and they do not like it if he presents a beautiful image of his country with his presence. May God fill you with lies and slander.”

Haifa Wehbe concluded her post: “Praise be to God for the many blessings of our Lord and for the blessing of loving people who wish me well.”
